Week #12 this is a sad one for me. Miss Lauren J. doesnt have school on tuesdays so she wont be joining us for the next 11 weeks. SAD! i know. but she is going to keep being cute on her own, rocking too cute tuesday better than ever! WERKIT GUUUURL.

Miss Lauren J. took these of me and i think they turned out pretty cute which means a lot because i dont feel like im very photogenic what so ever.

If Lauren J. was my own personal life size barbie …

so lauren likes to say she doesnt have style but obviously the girl does, i mean come on just look at her! i love her girly yet earthy and almost rugged style, i think its from growing up in utah. anyways if i could dress her (which she has let me do before and even looking back on it now still makes me a bit giddy) this is what i would put her in. i think this is very “her”. girly and earthy but not too earthy to the point where she is a hippie child. so lets break this outfit down so you all know why i picked what i did. first off lauren loves pearls and i really dig colored pearls so when you add those two things together you get that really cool colored pearl necklace. another thing about lauren is she has the prettiest dainty little fingers so i picked out small organic rings to compliment that. i chose this dress because i think the color compliments her skin and hair and to be honest i like her in a dress. she has one of those odd shaped bodies where her clothes drape on her kinda like a model. i like to call it a “willowy” body type because the clothes almost flow off the lines of her body like willow branches. (im pretty jealous of it actually) she could wear this outfit pretty much anywhere because it is dressy yet casual but if i had to pick where she was going i would say on a date with her cute little boy friend she refers to as Mr. Man.

Oooooooh Hello little lovies of the world wide web! It is I, Lauren, one of them at least and I am please to meet all of you. And here I am writing to all of you about my little outfit of the day and you get to find out how interesting I am. Ha ha okay not really. Anyways let’s just start out by saying, I am not that fashionable whatsoever so this is quite hard for me! I feel like every girl has a moment where you look at your closet FILLED with clothes and say to yourself, “I have nothing to wear.” Well that’s what happened to me recently and one, I have no money to buy more; and two, it was quite ridiculous that I didn’t have anything to wear. So I told myself, “ya know, maybe I could piece things together differently.” So lately I have been experimenting, and this was one of the concoctions I came up with. By the way I am loving belts these days, seriously can make every outfit look that much put together. Anyways, my advice….mix it up my little lovies and if you question it, just wear it! You’ll learn to love it and love all the “NEW” outfits you have in your closet.

so my school friend turned pretty much best friend is moving to new york in june. i normally dont like to think about it because i know im going to miss the living daylights out of her, (idk why i just decided to talk like a 70 year old woman right there) but im not going to lie i am going to have fun visiting her.

when? we normally make our reservations at 4:45ish, 5 o’clock but today we were fashionably late .. i mean look how cute our outfits were!
where? the Art Institute room A201. it was hard to get in because the security is kinda tight but we just let them know who we were and they gladly sat us.
why? because her bf lives in utah and i havent had a bf since 2008. yea im real cool. oh and because we spent last valentines day together so now its kinda a tradition!

Too Cute Tuesday! luckily this weeks too cute tuesdays just so happened to land on the same day as “make valentine cookies at school” day! how perfect. Lauren A. (in the striped sweater) and Lauren J. (in the red dress) are both sweet fanatics so of course we had to participate! Lauren A.’s cookie is the one with almost every topping possible and Lauren J.’s cookie is the color cordinated one to the right. mine is the center one because unlike the laurens, im not big on sweets but to be honest it hit the spot.

so i have decided to start each month with a guest blogger for the “what i wore” post. i was going to do it at the end of the month but seeing how i started in a week late this year and im ocd, ill stick the guest blogger at the front of the month. makes more sense. well at least to me.

What Lauren wore ..

Hi, my name is Lauren and i run this little blog right here and this is what i wore. I normally wear all black. It is very flattering and that way I can accessorize the crap out of my outfit. Although this week for Too Cute Tuesday I allowed for a bit of spice (color) in my life. I chose to pair my pastel pink hot shorts with an off the shoulder striped sweater. And of course keeping with my accessory junkie ways I added bangles, lots of rings, a sweet skull necklace, my handy dandy timepiece and topping it off with lil’ pink studs. Adding a fun mix to it were my spectacular floral print heels. While shooting this we had a lil’ too much fun, which explains my awesomely awkward pose. But that’s me in a nutshell.

so this is what i did thursday night. my good good friend lauren had to make a product placement video for a fake product. this is the video she directed and i art directed.

so i took a very small trip to texas to see my brother on his 21st. also a little bonus was that one of my favorite comedians Kevin Hart was playing at my work. so after watching mr. hart do his thing (by the way super funny. they were filming his new comedy central stand up so be sure to watch it when it comes out.) i went to down town fort worth feeling like death. the show was sold out so i sat in traffic for about 45 minutes and couldnt stop sneezing or breathe through my nose to save my life. finally i get down there around 12 and dwight didnt seem as drunk as i thought he should so i made him do a four horsemen and that sent him over the edge. no one should ever NOT puke on their 21st. youre welcome little brother.

i would like to thank miss emily grace rogers for my cute little head painting (see header) she did of me so many years ago. i miss the crap out of this girl.
