Siera + hat = dirty hair. yes this is true. i never wear hats unless my hair is too dirty and i chose to sleep over take a shower. the secret is out. so if you ever see me walking by and you spot a hat on my head, please dont be a jerk and yank it off. im wearing it for a reason. this was one of those outfit that looks cute on the outside but it was a little hard to wear. why you ask? let me tell you! every time i got up to run down the hall to get something from the printer at work my tights would fall ever so slightly, so after 4 or 5 runs to the printer i had to hike them up and every time i did my t-shirt dress would stick to the tights and come up with them. a little tight covered toosh tease for all the girls in the office. oops! i know they loved it!

this outfit, well im not going to lie, is a little ghetto. why you ask? mostly because i did something i saw all the black girls do in my predominantly black highschool and turned amy camisole into a dress. thats right. i took a 2 dollar cami from forever21 and turned it into a dress. if i stand in front of a light you cant pretty much see through it, hence the tights. sidenote: i look like a have a booty in this picture! in reality i dont so i had to bring it up.

in the spirit of NASCAR this is what i wore. i am from texas so NASCAR is huge! i was in texas last weekend and they already had signs up for alternate routes during race weekend. NASCAR is also a little near and dear to my heart because my dad is an avid race goer, which means that i get plenty of overwhelming graphic t-shirts from each races he attends. SCORE! this outfit here would be perfect for a day at the races. i like to think of it as white trash couture with your cut up tee, short shorts and of course your boots! to complete this outfit all you need is some sunblock and earplugs .. maybe even a sharpie incase you run into kyle busch and want him to sign your shirt and/or chest.

this is it. yea i know kinda boring. its been so rainy here in southern california that its hard to want to get dressed up because i know i will end up soaking anyway. there is actually a funny story with this outfit. i took my 11 year old cousin to soccer practice and half way to walking her to her field she said ” you can stop here.” i responded with a surprised “why?” and she says bluntly .. “because of your outfit” (you have to understand that she has been raised in orange county her whole life and choses to wear A&F with uggs. im trying my hardest to show her there is so much more out there) yea thats my family. im the odd one out always.

i guess you could call what im wearing overalls? pants suit? not really sure what to call it but i wore it anyways. not the easiest thing to wear when you are as big of a water drinker like i am. every time i went to pee i always pictured someone accidentally walking in on me and me sitting there in my bra. scary right? i know. my mom actually bought this little get up for me about a year ago and i had been battling where to wear it, what shoes to wear with it, or the big question .. how to wear it. it came with a belt that was the same color as the outfit itself but i opted with a black belt instead to match with my shoes and also to break it up a little. the cool thing about this is when ever your pants are falling down you just have to shrug your shoulders and tada! pants are back in place.

What Miss Lauren J. Wore ..

Oooooooh Hello little lovies of the world wide web! It is I, Lauren, one of them at least and I am please to meet all of you. And here I am writing to all of you about my little outfit of the day and you get to find out how interesting I am. Ha ha okay not really. Anyways let’s just start out by saying, I am not that fashionable whatsoever so this is quite hard for me! I feel like every girl has a moment where you look at your closet FILLED with clothes and say to yourself, “I have nothing to wear.” Well that’s what happened to me recently and one, I have no money to buy more; and two, it was quite ridiculous that I didn’t have anything to wear. So I told myself, “ya know, maybe I could piece things together differently.” So lately I have been experimenting, and this was one of the concoctions I came up with. By the way I am loving belts these days, seriously can make every outfit look that much put together. Anyways, my advice….mix it up my little lovies and if you question it, just wear it! You’ll learn to love it and love all the “NEW” outfits you have in your closet.

i am so sorry. i told you all here that i would show you what i wore for valentines day but i have failed you. ok let me let you in on a little secret. how i shoot these “what i wore” pictures is during the week if i wore something that i thought was particularly cute i take a picture f it with my phone so i can remember what i wore exactly and then after about 3 weeks of collecting, one weekend i get all dolled up and take a whole batch of them so then i dont have to do this picture taking thing every week because with having to take 20 hours of school a week it can get a little hectic. like this week. holy moly was this week a hard one. it consisted of red light tickets, locking my keys in my car twice, getting in a 5 car pile up on a major highway and then my camera breaking in the wreck. SAD FACE, i know! so luckily for all you guys i have some cuteness saved in a little blue folder called “blog” on my desk top. SOOO ANYWAYS … this outfit is one of my favorites. i love that little skirt. yea its kinda short but who cares, im young. i better show my legs off while they still look good right? this outfit i would wear out to a bar or even to school (because thats where i pretty much live my life these days) i love paring colors together. dont be afraid of color or not matching. colors are only colors. they all love each other.

yep your eyes are not deceiving you. i am wearing fishnets. AND I ROCKED THEM! of course everyone had something to say about them but i think i pulled them off! and thats all that mattered. i think the reason why i felt ok about this concoction was the fact that i paired something perceived as slutty and wore something as non-slutty as i could with over sized clothing. tell me if you dig it or not. let me know im not the only one who thought this was kinda cool haha

What Lauren wore ..

Hi, my name is Lauren and i run this little blog right here and this is what i wore. I normally wear all black. It is very flattering and that way I can accessorize the crap out of my outfit. Although this week for Too Cute Tuesday I allowed for a bit of spice (color) in my life. I chose to pair my pastel pink hot shorts with an off the shoulder striped sweater. And of course keeping with my accessory junkie ways I added bangles, lots of rings, a sweet skull necklace, my handy dandy timepiece and topping it off with lil’ pink studs. Adding a fun mix to it were my spectacular floral print heels. While shooting this we had a lil’ too much fun, which explains my awesomely awkward pose. But that’s me in a nutshell.

im not going to lie i didnt wear this outfit this week, i wore it two weeks ago for too cute tuesday. what i will (hopefully be doing) on the last monday of every month is having one of my fashionable friends guest blog on what they wore that week so you guys dont get bored of me too quickly but this week just ran away from me with going to texas for my brothers birthday and the friend who was going to do it got busy and well you will just have to check in next week to see her cute little outfit! this outfit i wore to go out for a “field trip” with my class where we ate delicious mexican food and then later wrote a review about it. not going to lie probably should of worn shorts that day because all i could think about the whole day is getting home and taking them off. i was a hot one that afternoon.

this outfit i went out for my friend suzanne’s birthday party at this pretty cool place here in orange county. it was a dueling piano bar, which was interesting. seeing how i dont listen to a lot of rock music (which was the majority of what was being played) i didnt sing along to the songs as much BUT they had $2 carona’s so lets just say i had a good time. southern california has been pretty warm lately so of course i had to bust out my dresses. i hate wearing pants so when i dont have to i dont. i didnt want to look too summery so i paired it with boots and a jean jacket, i mean its still january so at night it gets kinda cold. of course one of the first comments i get is “only you could pull that off, it looks like its from the 80’s or something”. i feel like anyone can pull anything off as long as you think you look good, it fits right, and if you wear it with confidence. WERK IT OUT!

What I Wore …

this was the first week of school (and of course i wasnt ready for my break to end) so i opted for comfy. layering is key when you are trying to go for the “comfy” but not wanting to look like a bum. also throwing some jewelry on always helps to dress up your look. my undershirt is about two sizes too big for me but under a sweatshirt you could never tell. plus it helps cover up my butt because i really dont have one so there is no point in trying to show it off in my skin tight leggings.

What I Wore … new years addition

on mondays i will (try my hardest) to post my favorite outfit of the week. i decided to do this because i am always getting told “oh you look so cute” or “its your style that makes you stand out” or “you can wear anything and make it work” or (my personal favorite) “you make the ugliest clothes looks cute” so i thought hey why not blog about it? each week i will show you what i wore and where i went and why i liked the outfit or why i decided to wear it. i hope you enjoy.

so this was the outfit i wore on new years. i had originally bought it for my birthday dress because i did a black and white themed party but opted for another dress instead. i probably should of returned this one because funds are tight right now but i just couldnt. i loved it too much. new years ended up being one of the lamest ones yet .. well let me take that back. it was the lamest one yet. i got all dolled up and ended up sitting by myself watching family guy. thats what i get for spending it in texas and not california. i love this dress because of the geometric girly ruffles but the colors doesnt make you think girly. i decided to go with silver jewelry to keep the outfit sharp and cold with the color scheme. since there was ruffles i went with the “chola” earrings to make it less girly. i love taking very feminine pieces (like the dress and tights) and pairing them with harder pieces. (such as the hoops, chain, and brass knuckle ring)
